1ST JULY – 8TH SEPTEMBER: SIR ROBIN KNOX-JOHNSTON ‘A WORLD OF MY OWN’ EXHIBITION, THE NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM
Where: 20 minute walk from The Working Boat
Celebrate 50 years since Sir Robin Knox-Johnston completed his brave voyage sailing single handed and non-stop around the world. This momentous achievement has made history, as he battled through tremendous challenges including losing radio signal for four months, facing 80-foot waves and enduring shark infested waters. The National Maritime Museum is honouring his epic journey with ‘A World of my Own’ – an exhibition of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston’s personal photographs and objects from his time at sea.
3RD JULY: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM: TREBAH GARDENS
Where: 20 minutes drive from The Working Boat
Visit Trebah’s amphitheatre for an evening of entertainment from Quantum Theatre. Watch this Shakespearean classic in a truly unique performance space, with the sub-tropical gardens providing a gorgeous backdrop. Showing at 7:30pm, book your tickets and experience the whimsical magic of this popular play.
7TH JULY: MAD ABOUT MUSICALS, PRINCESS PAVILION
Where: 30 minute walk from The Working Boat
All the greatest musicals under one roof. Get your dancing shoes on as the Princess Pavilion is hosting the critically acclaimed ‘Mad About Musicals’ this July. Expect brilliant vocals, stunning costumes and a spectacular light show. Sit back and enjoy two hours of unforgettable London and New York favourites to get you singing along.
7TH, 14TH, 21ST AND 28TH JULY: SUNDAY NIGHT PUB QUIZ, THE WORKING BOAT PUB

Here at The Working Boat, we host a weekly Sunday night pub quiz. From 7:30pm onwards, bring your brainiest team to try your luck at winning lots of fab prizes. Whilst the pub quiz is free to attend, you can donate an optional £1 to our chosen charity of the month. July’s charity is Hospitality Action and we hope you can join us to raise money, test your knowledge and have a laugh over tasty food and drinks.
8TH JULY – 7TH SEPTEMBER: HOOK, LINE AND SINKER EXHIBITION, FALMOUTH ART GALLERY
Where: 10 minute walk from The Working Boat
The Falmouth Art Gallery has some inspiring exhibitions throughout the year, and this summer is no exception. The ‘Hook, Line and Sinker’ series features spectacular fishing themed artworks. Immerse yourself in a mixture of traditional and contemporary paintings, drawings, sculpture and automata from Falmouth’s collection, including a new acquisition ‘A Rocky Shore’, by Charles Napier Hemy 1839-1917.
13TH JULY: FALMOUTH GIN FESTIVAL, THE GREENBANK HOTEL

Sample sumptuous gins from all around Cornwall at our Falmouth Gin Festival. This will be The Greenbank‘s second time hosting the event. Get ready for great music, copious amounts of gin and a feel-good atmosphere. You must have a ticket to attend the event, which includes entry, a G&T on arrival, free samples and a keepsake branded gin glass. Gather your friends and raise a glass to celebrate all things gin!
26TH JULY: THE ANDY HAGUE QUINTET JAZZ BAND, THE POLY
Where: 15 minute walk from The Working Boat
Jazz up your Friday night at The Poly in Falmouth. At the end of July, The Andy Hague Quintet are performing their original compositions. Head down to the live arts venue for an evening of atmospheric, jazz music.
27TH JULY: PORT NAVAS REGATTA, PORT NAVAS
Where: 20 minute drive from The Working Boat
Port Navas Regatta is a fun, family day out for boat enthusiasts in Falmouth. Whether you’re experienced in the water or a bit of a beginner, there’s something for all abilities at this event. Bring your boat and paddle board along, or borrow one to get involved in the waterside activities. Fill up on delicious barbecued food and sip on summery drinks from the bar or tea tent in pretty Port Navas.
28TH JULY: PARKLIVE, KIMBERLEY PARK
Where: 15 minute walk from The Working Boat
Relax in the sunshine at Kimberley Park’s summer series, Parklive. Parklive showcases the range of creative talent living in the Falmouth area, from acoustic musicians to circus skills and theatrical performances. Chill out on the grass with your friends and family on a sunny Sunday and soak up the festival vibe.
30TH – 31ST JULY: SUMMER OF SPORT, GLENDURGAN GARDENS
Where: 20 minute drive from The Working Boat
Get active in the sun with your family and friends at Glendurgan’s Summer of Sport sessions. Play quoits, boules and skittles on Durgan beach, and the gardens at high tide. Glendurgan is a beautiful setting to combine fresh air and exercise.
