Looking for Christmas events in Falmouth this year? From tree decorating and charity markets to Christmas sing-a-longs and festive feasts, have a look at our top five events to do this yuletide season…

26th November 2019: Merry Little Christmas Market

Held at Falmouth University and organised by three events management students, head on down and raise money for St Petrocs Homeless Charity. With multiple stalls to include jewellery, crafts, cakes and nibbles – you’ll be spoilt for choice! Entrance is £5 and includes either a mulled wine, cider or a toasty hot chocolate. Above all, proceeds will be going to St Petrocs. Get your tickets here.

28th November 2019: Christmas Lights Switch-On

Join the festive celebrations on 28th November for the annual Christmas Light Switch-On. Starting the evening with school children, a community choir and Santa parading through the town with colourful lanterns and decorations, the community will head towards the Moor. Each school will then sing a Christmas carol of their choice before the grand lights turn on for Christmas!

Most importantly, every year the lights are switched on by a nominated community champion, who is voted by the public.

1st December 2019: Falmouth’s Christmas Tree Festival

Gather your crew and head down to the Princess Pavilion on 1st December for a community-filled event. Community groups are invited to decorate Christmas trees this year with the theme being “Treasure Island”. As a result, these colourful trees will be on display during the Christmas light switch-on, until 2nd January. The grand switch-on for the Christmas Tree Festival will take place at 5:30pm on Sunday 1st December, with St Mary’s School choir singing on the bandstand. A magical experience to have by all at this free event!

14th-15th December 2019: Falmouth’s Festive Weekend

A brand new weekend of Christmas fun is coming to Falmouth this year! Hop on the snow train, go ice skating, ride the Victorian carousel and experience Christmas on the square. With plenty of events throughout the weekend, Falmouth will transform into a winter wonderland. With live music and dancing to be had, get jolly with Santa and head to Falmouth for their festive weekend.

19th December 2019: Mini Christmas Festival at The Working Boat

Don’t miss our second Falmouth Christmas Festival from 3pm until late! We’ll be getting our festive fix, with creative craft stalls, toasty tipples and yuletide inspired food. Join in with a merry sing-a-long of Christmas classics as we’ll be welcoming carollers to fill our pub with traditional tunes from 6pm until 8pm. We will provide song sheets for those that would like to take part. Then at 9pm, the party ramps up with a special winter performance from Me and the Devil, so bring your dancing shoes.
