After last year’s success, we’re so excited to be once again be hosting Cornwall’s only Dragon Boat Race on Saturday 26th July 2025 from our very own quay.

Setting off from our pontoons, watch the brightly coloured boats race up and down from The Greenbank shoreline with a pint in hand. This year, we’re partnering with Mylor Sailability with 10% of all proceeds generated from our food and drink sales during the day donated to this amazing local charity. We will be serving bacon baps in the morning, and rustling up our famous dirty fries all day. If you’d like to eat inside, we advise booking a table here.

At this free event, you can expect to enjoy a thrilling day of Dragon Boat racing, with teams competing throughout the day to take home the winning title. Spectator, winner or loser, there’ll be lots on offer.

Dragon boat racing is an exhilarating sporting event where teams compete in canoe-like vessels fitted with hand carved dragon’s heads and tails. With up to 17 people per boat paddling to compete in races at nearly 250m distances, spectators can expect to view an incredibly exciting and adrenaline pumping race from our quay. Lap up the excitement from the shoreline or revel in victory on the water.

For 2025, we’re pleased to share that we’re partnering with Mylor Sailability who provide accessible sailing and powerboating sessions for those with any kind of impairment, physical disability or learning disability.
