The Big Spring Beach Clean in Falmouth: Greenbank Beach

The Big Spring Beach Clean in Falmouth: Greenbank Beach

Regrettably this event is currently postponed. We will keep you updated on a future date in due course.

The Greenbank Hotel and The Working Boat in collaboration with Sharp’s Brewery, are inviting everyone from the community and beyond to our bi-annual beach clean in Falmouth on Friday 10th of April. We’ll be cleaning on Greenbank beach, located just behind the hotel. Timings to be confirmed a week before the clean takes place.

A free pint on us

Sponsored by Rock-based Sharp’s Brewery, participants over the age of 18 will receive a free pint at the end of the clean as a great big thanks for their efforts. The clean is a part of Surfers Against Sewage’s ‘Big Spring Beach Clean’ campaign which is the largest and most effective volunteer beach cleaning project in the UK.

Beach Clean in Falmouth - The Working Boat and The Greenbank successful once more

Beach Clean in Falmouth

Unlike many beach cleans, where you can find plastic bottles and nurdles, Greenbank Beach offers a wide range of objects. From tyres to wooden pallets, traffic cones to lighters and sardine tins, you’ll be amazed at what you can find.

From our understanding, these objects are from boats and shipwrecks along the harbourside, as well as the road adjacent.

Meeting point

Meeting at the pub on Friday 10th April, the Greenbank Beach needs your helping hands. Join us and be a part of the biggest ‘Big Spring Beach Clean’ ever!
