1. GEAR FARM

This family-run business started life over 20 years ago as an organic vegetable farm and has become one of the best loved pasty shops in Cornwall. Their pasties are so popular that they often sell out by early afternoon. People come from far and wide to savour the plentiful fillings and perfect pastry of these handmade creations. Situated in an idyllic spot on the Lizard peninsula, it’s just a short drive to beauty spots such as Gunwalloe or Poldhu beaches where you can sit and savour your little slice of heaven.
2. ANN’S PASTIES
Where: Helston, The Lizard & Porthleven
Best for: Pastry
Flaky, filling and available in four different sizes – from small to ‘gurt’, Ann’s pasties are a reliable pasty choice for an afternoon spent on the Lizard. From their humble beginnings hand making pasties from their kitchen in Porthleven, this family business has grown in popularity and now delivers pasties locally and nationally. A perfect pasty to sit and eat whilst watching the waves roll in.
3. ST AGNES BAKERY
Where: Churchtown, Saint Agnes TR5 0QP
Best for: Vegan and gluten free options
Nestled in the centre of the picturesque village of St Agnes, this little gem is incredibly popular throughout the year. One of the oldest bakeries in Cornwall, they pride themselves on flaky pastry, beautiful seasonal fillings and a generous serving size.
Those with dietary requirements needn’t go without either, as the bakery offers several different vegan and gluten free options.
4. PHILPS OF HAYLE
Where: Hayle, Helston, Camborne, & Marazion
Best for: Size
Depending on your appetite, a pasty from Philps might be your lunch and dinner! The famously large pasties are a Cornwall post-surf favourite for their size, seasoning and traditional fillings. Customers are even given a choice of shortcrust or flaky pastry!
5. MALCOLM BARNECUTT BAKERY
Where: Redruth, St Austell, Bodmin, Rock, Newquay, Padstow, Wadebridge, Launceston, Plymouth
Best for: Traditional fillings
You don’t get much more traditional than pasties from this bakery. With locations dotted all over Cornwall, and straying into Devon, this 90-year old family-run bakery is a safe choice for your pasty fix. You can even order pasties by post to enjoy their flaky goodness from the comfort of your own abode.

Best for: Pasty and a view
Consistently voted as one of the best pasty spots in Cornwall, this picturesque independently run bakery offers all of the traditional fillings, as well as some tasty alternatives such as steak & stilton. Pick up a pasty and take a stroll down to the harbour to enjoy your lunch with an unbeatable vista.
