Pink Wig Mermaid March

Falmouth’s much-loved Pink Wig Parade is back, now with a new ‘Mermaid March’ theme! We’re once again hosting the Pink Wig pre-party in our waterfront marquee, before the parade sets sail into town.

Join us from 5pm on Friday 8th August for an evening of fun, friendship and fundraising. The Pink Wig Mermaid March is in support of The Mermaid Centre – the breast cancer diagnosis and treatment facility at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro.

We will be donating 10% of all drink sales from the day as well as 50% of all Pink Wig cocktail sales directly to The Mermaid Centre. So whether you’re sipping something sparkling or joining the joyful parade, your support will help make waves where they matter most.

Together, let’s transform the streets of Falmouth into a sea of pink for this fantastic cause!

Previous years

Since 2010, the Pink Wig Committee have raised over £220,000 for breast cancer charities, with an outstanding £119,000 donated directly to The Mermaid Centre. Through hosting our annual Pink Wig pre-party, we were delighted to contribute £2,013 in 2023 and £1,142 in 2024.

Earlier this year, the Pink Wig Committee announced they were stepping down after over a decade of supporting breast cancer patients across Cornwall. The event will now be delivered by the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity and the Falmouth Town Team.
